J'ai décidé de créer une Fondation dédiée à la protection de l'environnement et au développement durable (...). Il s'agit d'un défi planétaire commun qui demande des actions urgentes et concrètes, en réponse à trois grands enjeux environnementaux : le changement climatique, la biodiversité et l'eau.

Londres, le 3 octobre 2007, S.A.S le Prince Albert II a présidé la seconde réunion de travail du Conseil d'Administration de Sa Fondation. Cette réunion a accueilli deux nouveaux membres, M. John GUMMER, ancien secrétaire du Royaume-Uni pour l'Environnement et Président Directeur Général de Sancroft International Ltd, Cabinet d'expertise en environnement et, M. Otto STEINMETZ, membre du Directoire de la Dresdner Bank, et responsable de la gestion des risques de la banque.
La branche anglaise, la «Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation (GB)» est installée dans les locaux du Consulat de Monaco.
En 2010, le Professeur David Munro, Honorary Professor of the University of Dundee and Honorary Research Fellow in the School of GeoSciences at the University of Edinburgh, geographical advisor to the publishers of the Times Atlas of the World, former Director of the Royal Scottish Geographical Society, a rejoint les membres du bureau anglais de la Fondation.

Catches of wild fish peaked in 1988.

28/05/2009 : The Foundation Appoint Award Winning UK Scientist to the Scientific and Technical Committee
The Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Professor David Monro to the Scientific and Technical Committee. Professor Monro is a specialist in the polar sciences, and in 2008 was appointed an MBE Queen Elizabeth II for services to the environment and community in Perth and Kinross, Scotland.
