I decided to set up a Foundation whose purpose is to protect the environment and to encourage sustainable development (...). By definition, this is a common global challenge that requires urgent and concrete action in response to three major environmental issues: climate change, biodiversity and water.
24/04/2013 : Tara Oceans Polar Circle: a new scientific expedition in the Arctic
The polar schooner Tara will depart from Lorient on May 19, 2013 for a new expedition: Tara Oceans Polar Circle. A scientific adventure lasting seven months and traveling 25,000kms around the Arctic Ocean via the Northeast and Northwest passages. Supported by the CNRS, CEA, EMBL and other private and public partners, this mission unites biologists and oceanographers.

Since 18th February 2013 the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation has been certified to the ISO 9001 and 14001 international standards, which are respectively quality and environmental standards.
